june taught me:
-no one wanting good things for you will change you; you have to want those things for yourself
-treating yourself well comes from a place of worthiness
-check your old travel accounts for flight points; i got tickets to Denver next month for $11
-god can call you out of something to refine you and later call you back to it
-stop wanting what’s next when what’s now isn’t being handled well. find peace. find a rhythm
-find something creative that you love and invest time into it
-toddlerhood is built on the foundation of Greek yogurt, pirates booty, blueberries, & watching the same 2 movies over and over
-find time for genuine pure fun
-write down your ideas
-summer post breastfeeding boob sweat is humbling
-we’re getting older quick!!! grasp to what makes you feel youthful & alive & chase those things
happy Sunday 🩵 just a reminder that some days are balanced and full of wellness and health and some days are frozen pizzas for dinner. today is a frozen pizza for me. tomorrow can be better, xx. 🍕
this morning reminded me of the power in slowing down as a mom — we hear it all the time, but when you’re heart is racing, you’re overstimulated, you want to rip your bra off bc it’s all of a sudden too tight & your toddler has asked you the same question 57 times in 35 mins… it can be easy to forget to ‘slow down’ to say the least lol. but this morning i was reminded that in the simplest form i want more than anything for her to feel included in my life & to know that she makes it better — to know she’s always wanted to be there. randomly in motherhood im hit by the emotions of building her childhood, that i am trusted with her little life, her days, & am tasked to make them magical (literally insane bc i still feel like a 15 year old obsessed with mayday parade & wearing too much eyeliner most days). it’s not always perfect, im never perfect for sure. BUT she is mine. & i want her to know it. this isn’t a guilt trip, but maybe the smallllest reminder that including them might take longer, but it’ll still get done. 🤍 even if you cry at the end of the day when your heart rate finally goes down. been there, too.
we had great intentions of a fun Friday afternoon at the park and then it was 90° and we were sweaty and there was no wind so we lasted 20 mins, got smoothies, went to a shadier park & got eaten by bugs, milo pooped right when we got there, so we ended the excursion with a trunk of car diaper change & sweaty overstimulated parents. I’d say it went well
daily light but good coverage summer makeup feat. @milkmakeup — I love a glowy look but I’m also a person who prefers a little more coverage ❤️🔥
using grip primer, lip + cheek in color ‘werk’, hydro grip setting spray, & kush mascara
posting this on my way to the grocery store bc we’re the family that eats off the baaareee freaking minimum leading up to a trip & then comes home to nothing other than the forgotten bag of spinach, spoiled milk, & the can of black beans that has probably been in the pantry for 7 months
nothing feels more nostalgic than sunsets on the beach with the fam — music & games & crab hunting 🦀🐚🌅 feels so special to have my daughter experiencing it now, too
