My car is officially dead. If you’ve been following my stories, you may have noticed that my car has been in and out of the shop A LOT lately. Got the news today that the engine is doomed and it isn’t worth replacing. I need your help BADLY. I cannot afford a new car but I cannot afford not to have a car. I live in a rural area with no other transportation options. It is an hour walk to a grocery store along 70km roads with no sidewalk, one way. With my chronic pain, I cannot do that. I also am freelance and depend on my car to get to gigs, craft fairs, to get supplies to make items to sell, etc. My income largely depends on me having a car. Any donations would be a huge help. Without a car I’m basically stuck and am largely isolated without access to a lot of necessities. Help! 😭

Bodyworks is a drag show featuring a cast of trans/queer drag performers. The show consists of numbers focused on different body parts, celebrating the trans and queer body, challenging the misconception that our bodies only exist as a form of trauma. Bodyworks is the sequel show to My Queer Audacity: Ikea Furniture, which took place at the Bus Stop Theatre during Halifax Fringe 2023.

I lived in Sackville for almost 10 years. It’s where I developed as an artist and performer. It’s where I realized I was queer and trans, and where I’ve met many of my closest friends. SO this show holds a special place in my heart. Help me show this crew of performers that I love so much how amazing Sackville is.

I never really know what to say. The world feels hostile and frightening but I’m also so deeply grateful for the community we have created together. We are here. We are powerful. We owe the world nothing. We are more than the trauma mainstream media likes to caricaturize (I know it’s not a word but you get it). We are joy and love and knowledge and so many things. We are here.
I am non-binary. I am trans. My pronouns are they/them. Im afab and still often present as femme but this does not make me less trans. I don’t know what else to say so I’ll leave it at that.
If you are cis, remember to show your trans family and friends that you love them. Not just in words but in action. Allyship is not a noun, it’s a verb.
