I am feeling very nostalgic about leaving Detroit behind me, but at the same time, I am more than grateful to have experienced this city and its musical history to the fullest. Detroit and its music output has shaped my musical being ever since I touched my first record.
I am so impressed by all the souls who have built this strong community over here and how this community stands together to fight against inequality, advocating for individual and independent artistic freedom with their very own unique and forward thinking musical ideas.
This spirit has greatly shaped our electronic music culture. From Motown to the UR movement, the idea of always being artistically independent to empower themselves against the influence of major music and their ideologies has been inspirational.
Never forget what Detroit stands for and how it has majorly created and influenced today’s Techno scene.
