At the end of a difficult and tremulous year, I got an email from Peggy asking if I’d like to make some music for Gudu. It really meant a lot to me, and of course I agreed. I locked myself in the studio for the next weeks and gave it my all, and in the end the ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching’ EP was born. Making this music was very healing and inspiring at a time when I really needed it. I’ve always been on a mission to push my own boundaries creatively, and it’s taken many years to get here, but I feel like this record is a milestone for me because I’m finally at the point where I can really express myself the way I want through my music, and it feels like it’s only the beginning.

I’m not a religious person, but I think god made me a DJ so I could come back to Kyiv to play for you. I love you so so much. Thank you for sharing your kindness, your stories, and these moments with me. I haven’t felt complete the last two years not being able to be there with you. K41 isn’t just the best club in the world, it’s really a sanctuary. What you’re doing is so important and what’s happening here is the real underground resistance and why this music was created. I’ve never experienced anything so special and so beautiful in my life. I am forever inspired by you, your strength and resilience, and beauty. I’ll be forever grateful for this experience. From the bottom of my heart thank you. I will always support you and I promise to be back soon.
I would also like to say to my international friends…. The war is ongoing. It’s not just nice food, hotel rooms, and parties in Kyiv. My friends wake up to air raid alarms every day, as we did the last days. They are fighting for their freedom and ours. It’s important to continue to support them every day not just when it’s trending.
