Dripping is made entirely for and by our community. We have zero sponsors or brand partners and are funded 100% by ticket sales. In addition to the nearly 50 performers, we’re proud to shine light on our collaborators working to make it happen. 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗢 𝗚𝗨𝗠𝗚𝗨𝗠 is back for round two. Last year the lighting was a definitive part of the Dripping experience and this year they are coming even harder cooking up some pretty mental shit. The Brooklyn based studio is driven by curiosity and imagination, developing their own custom fixtures and light sculptures. Their unbounded creativity will be on full display. Extra gratitude to the operators and the large crew of volunteers. Dripping is first and foremost a sonic experience foregrounding artists who truly command a full-range sound system. 𝗢𝗡𝗘-𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦steps up with full Funktion-One rigs in The Inn and The Barn. We would settle for nothing less, and they will be the low-key stars of the weekend. Often overlooked, yet a critical component of the weekend, we share respect and appreciation for 𝗗-𝗦𝗘𝗖 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 who will keep us safe at Dripping. You know & love them from Nowadays and many of our sibling raves. Damian Jones has helped shape the safer space approach to security in New York nightlife, an immensely welcome shift within club culture. There are over 100 workers and volunteers at Dripping. We’re humbled and energized by the outpouring of community support. Everyone on staff is extremely excited to make this weekend fucking epic. Respect and gratitude for all that stepped up.

Just announced: Significant Other joins the Saturday ambient program. A fixture of the NY community as one of the founders of the ultra-ambitious Club Night Club parties & label, Significant Other has been instrumental in bridging the UK & US scenes. Four days ago, he inaugurated his new label Pain Management with the stunning, solemn dub trip “When It Rains.” Cloudy, moody and immaculately rendered, the EP distills the best parts of his sound into something personal and truly remarkable. We cleared some extra space for him to bring you into the world of the record. Feel the pain.

Just announced: x3butterfly steps up to open the Inn on Saturday night. The Paragon resident’s omnivorous take on dance music is a testament to their unbounded creativity. Balancing DJing with a history of experimental performance art, x3butterfly’s freewheeling rawness and genuine joy comes across undiluted. They’re tapping into some x-rated bass for this set as a prelude to a night of unmitigated savagery. Wobble in the woods.

This year we are celebrating ten years of Groovy Groovy - ten years of unflagging conviction and a deep belief in the power of music. They’re an institution and an inspiration. From the start, the party has been dedicated to finding fresh voices and remains beholden to no trends. They see ahead where others lag, and they launch artists into the NY scene consciousness with a fearless confidence and unflinching dedication. Groovy rules. Take a look back at some of their curation - it’s honestly insane. To honor them in this milestone, Groovy Groovy takes over the Barn both nights at Dripping 2024 and also throws a lakeside party Saturday afternoon.

G. Zifcak, our resident madman, returns to the scene of the crime to permanently singe your corneas. Last year, he decoupled the dungeon beneath Barn from reality with a shapeshifting strobe installation that was some of the most innovative and bizarre creativity of the weekend. Tucked away beneath the stage, his work required a bit of searching and discovery; if you happened upon it, you witnessed a version of reality that was reanimated in stop-motion glitch, simultaneously disorienting and weirdly inviting. This year he’s planning a fresh iteration of his deviously meticulous A/V immersions.

Pent steps up to deliver our first ever sound installation. Remember the Hammock Grove? The pocket of respite between the stages and the lake will now be augmented with a four channel, 48hr audio work from NY electronic innovator Pent. Her works push sound design into super twisted territory that is genuinely futuristic. Truly icy audio sculptures that vibrate on an atomic level and draw you into rich dimensional infinities, Pent’s works stand apart. Get lost in the woods.

Children, hide your daddies: Jake Muir is coming to a field near you. Muir is a rarity, tapping into the perverse underbelly of musique concrète, bringing an unmissable immediacy to the genre. Albums like “Bathhouse Blues” and “Mana” are so sensual, ranging across the full spectrum from blissful to complete mindfuck, often at the same time. More active than ambient, Muir’s musical constructions feel airy and spacious while still carrying plenty of weight and substance. “Bathhouse Blues” weaves samples of gay porn rarities, sculpting longform dreamscapes that are equal parts horny, pained and mesmerizing. Breathe deep in his ultra vivid atmospheric apparitions. Pack a blanket, Muir plays a late night longform set under the stars into the dawn on Sunday morning.

Just added - bassoonist Joy Guidry’s music taps into vulnerability, powerful confidence and strident, expressive cries with virtuosic grace. Guidy’s in a moment of artistic flowering, harnessing a lifetime of musical development and innate raw talent into something singular. Bassoons are typically accompaniment instruments in classical orchestras, rarely featured outside the symphony and even less so in a solo context. We came across Joy after the festival had been booked and needed to find a slot for her. We were immediately struck by her solo performances, which stopped us in our tracks with their unmediated beauty. Guidry wrenches incredible emotion and raw humanity out of her instrument, tapping into the fullness of a human life. She plays solo Saturday night under the stars at midnight.
