Did you think he was finished? Freddy K. All Night Long. EXTENDED - 10 hours. Saturday 20th July. One year on from his first legendary All Night Long marathon, the mastermind that is @freddyk3614 returns to finish what he started. Those who were there on that monumental night will remember the feelings, the emotions: indescribable. For those who were not, you really have to experience this. It’s time to take UNFOLD to the next stage. UNFOLD X @maidenvoyagefestival 2024. The Stage: Revealed. Designed by ourselves from the ground up and inspired by the brutalist architecture surrounding us in Canning Town, this stage will be our home come September as we take our queer-centered celebration into the fields for only the second time ever. Sound quality has to be the number one priority at any music event, and our team has designed the system to replicate the experience of our dance floor as closely as possible. All whilst you lose yourselves in our new concrete jungle, illuminated by the immersive lighting that you have come to expect from us. This year we’ve got an even bigger playground in which to run wild and on a site much closer to home - situated in Burgess Park, Southwark. Rudolph. Our mischief manager. Under the watchful eye of Martin since he was four weeks old, Rudolph and his all-loving personality has become an everyday presence this year, blissfully scampering through our halls without a care in the world. Joining our four legged-family in the tail end of the Winter months, he was initially treated with wariness by his new feline companions. However, much like his reindeer namesake, Rudolph’s abounding enthusiasm helped guide us out of those cold Winter months and gradually earned the respect of Frank, Stan & Tori. A decision that they may be rueing when they shoo him out of their dinner bowls. Rudolph’s relaxed, carefree nature has brought a new, spirited energy to our corridors - as well as the occasional unwanted gift. At ease with all who come across his path, a typical greeting consists either of bounding up & gleefully licking everything in his sight line, or throwing himself on the floor in anticipation of the belly tickles he so dearly loves. For Rudolph does not care who you are, what you are, or where you come from; he showers all with endless love & compassion. If only politicians could too…

Steve Bicknell. At the very forefront of the UK’s ever-growing electronic music culture since its infancy. A career spanning 30+ years has seen @steve_bicknell grow from his early beginnings as a young promoter and resident DJ to become one of the UK’s most established and respected techno artists & credited by many of his peers as the very definition of a true pioneer. Founded together with Sheree Rashit in the early 90s, Bicknell’s legendary LOST nights provided the soundtrack to countless dancers & artists alike who ventured out onto London’s dancefloors; introducing revellers to this new, stripped back form of techno - one that would be later associated with Detroit & Chicago, yet one still rarely heard on this side of the Atlantic. Accompanying LOST, Bicknell founded Cosmic Recordings with the intention of bringing this sound to even wider audiences and contributed over 30 releases of his own to the then fledgling imprint, all under various aliases. Embodying the true essence of straight to the point, no-nonsense techno, Bicknell has helped pave the way for all those after him - and all those still to come. On Saturday 3rd August that path leads to Canning Town for our two room, EXTENDED event. Spawned in 2015 as an experimental dive into cinematic techno, @cvnsumed_ has since grown to become the phenomenal project we now know of today. Designed to evoke the same emotions as those experienced when watching your future favourite film for the first time, CVNSUMED experiments with a variety of genres, from EBM to OST, Drum & Bass to Techno, before blending them together to form his evocative screenplay. Together with @_znzl_ and @san_ju_ni , he founded @demian_records_ with the goal of promoting this particular sound to even wider audiences. When opportunities arise to hear the following two artists, they must be seized and held tight: for they do not come around often & what awaits will be one of the finest of shows. Those who attended our MORD & Monnom Black collaborations will attest to this, having experienced first hand @uvb_music ’s contrasting sonic realms; modelled out of soulful, melodic tones that are then intertwined seamlessly with the harder, grittier side of electronic music. Alongside him on the line-up is the mood modulator @garcon_amenthia . The Elysia resident has dedicated his life to rhythmically dexterous landscapes, drawing from both natural & synthetic sources to craft his near-ritualistic performances. A sound firmly rooted in techno, yet his inspirations are anything but; resulting in a timeless, near spiritual experience for those who listen. An UNFOLD to remember forever; thank you to all who joined us on Sunday. With our new Main Room air-con working in overdrive, it was a noticeably cooler edition and energy levels took full advantage, ramping up to previously unvisited heights. At a time when our immediate surroundings are rapidly changing, any feelings of uncertainty were immediately dispelled & replaced by those of wonder as Lockhart transported us into a different dimension with her spellbinding opening set. UNFOLD has always been made & shaped by those on the dance floor and so we were delighted that another of our family took the step into the heart of our dancefloor with NAT making her debut in the Steam Room. The master of marathon sets returns.
