Extracted from full article https://www.parkettchannel.it Helena Hauff and DJ Stingray have built a leadership, in this genre, that is entirely deserved and that leverages their territorial origins. While the German DJ is one of the finest selectors of the electro genre, a symbol of that post-industrial culture spawned by Kraftwerk, Dj Stingray, who grew up on hot dogs and ghettoblasta, has over the years become the best representative of the Detroit electro scene. With his memorable DJ sets he conquered the best stages in Europe. Both were and still are elixirs of fortune and glory of the Scottish artist's career. In 2016, "NU-1000 Ep" was released on Shipwerc, the first collaborative work between Galaxian and DJ Stingray. Although the cover does not convey strong emotions, the sound presented is hard and overbearing because of an uncompromising fast-paced rhythm. Listening to the track that gives the Ep its name, the symbiosis between the depth and darkness of space sought by Dj Stingray and the belligerent aggression promoted by Galaxian is evident. Going back to the recent past, only a year after the first record released on Shipwerc, Galaxian releases on the same label an epic Ep entitled "Uprising," translated into Italian as "Insurrection." The artist is delivering a very clear message of revolt - figurative - the essence of which is encapsulated in listening to one of the tracks that makes up the release, Glasgow to Detroit. So far the influence of American electro is vividly felt. A new physical and metaphysical connection becomes part of the artist's life. If the physical connection is that of the aforementioned Helena Hauff, from whom a collaboration was born, culminating in the EP entitled Paradise Engineering released in 2018 on Return To Disorder, the metaphysical one is linked to Paradise. After setting-up the gear, the Windows loading screen was freezing on start-up, blue screen of death. Then a serious issue occurred which required re-installing Windows from scratch, although it didn't work so i went through the whole long process again, an hour before going on I checked the laptop and it had failed again. I told the organisers it was highly unlikely I could play but with 45 mins till I played I tried re-installing from scratch yet again, felt like an eternity and by my play time it wasn't ready, I had to ask Mor Elian to keep playing while this ran through it's installation. 15 excruciating minutes after, it finalized and i had to restart it and try and play immediately. I did, it worked, people went nuts! Despite being a bit cautious playing there were no more technical problems. Having it's genesis in the mid 2010s with pioneers such as @dj_stingray_313 and @galaxianmusic . It relates closely with elements of vivid sound design, unusual rhythmic patterns, innovative sounds, using 21st century techniques & tools. It's mood will often be one of tough, technotic patterns, metallic percussion, interspersed with otherworldly soundscapes, intricate effects, hyper-dynamic song structure. As drum & bass and dubstep consumed themselves, eventually birthing new hybrid "post" genres, cybertech sets it sights on expanding as a genre, spirit and ethos for the "post" electro & techno age. #cybertech

APHEX TWIN X GALAXIAN - When Richard D. James played my track "You Don't Matter" at a giant rave. "As I landed in Portugal I got an DM with two clips attached "Hope you’re good? Went to see Aphex twin last night in Manchester never guess what he played....." Turned out he played "You Don't Matter" from my record on Return To Disorder.  As you might imagine I couldn't believe it, had a smile from ear to ear. He has been one of my biggest influences over the years and part of this song was very much influenced by one of his tracks in particular from "I Care Because You Do" LP. It wasn't a conscious choice. It just came out like that. I imagine Richard must have felt that in the song too. Like, from his mind, to my mind, back to his mind.
