Thanx so much to everyone who came out to our ‘MTV Unplugged’ show at Schubas last week!
Life is constantly lifyng and we’re rolling with the punches, I partly grew up in Kansas and named one of the songs after it’s motto: Ad Astra Per Aspera – “Through Hardship To The Stars” and so be it baby.
First time playing w/o drums and stripping it down to a lushy acoustic set. We are used to big sound, but this was really fun, a bit more intimate, and sultry. We’re excited to introduce Tiki and Sam! as well as playing more of these shows. That being said, we’re still on the lookout for a (badass) committed drummer to join us and write on new tracks. So pls keep your ears peeled and HML!

Hello friends, I’m reaching out to share a bit about my current situation. Unfortunately, my job has taken a turn into slow winter season, leaving me as the last priority despite being the longest-lasting front-of-house employee. The recent over-hiring has led to reduced hours, making it challenging to sustain myself. This has been my full-time main job since spring 2022, and it’s disheartening to find myself in this situation. If you know me, you know that I’m always ON and I am a hard worker. I want to emphasize that this is not about seeking pity but rather shedding light on a unique management approach that I haven’t encountered in the service industry to this extreme.
After a much-needed visit with my family traveling from South America and meeting jn Florida– whom I haven’t seen in two years, particularly my mom who’s undergoing chemotherapy – I returned to face unexpected challenges. Despite my job’s winter break (Jan 1st-9th) I find myself with absolutely no hours, making it even more crucial for this Winter Vintage Pop-Up to be a success.
Family is a priority, especially in times of health struggles, and I needed to spend quality time with them in Florida. It’s not easy being away for so long, and their well-being is a constant concern. Life is unpredictable, and I want to ensure I’m there for them.
Your support at the pop-up is not just about shopping; it’s about helping me navigate these uncertain times. I’ve curated unique pieces that I hope you’ll love. The pop-up will run throughout the month, possibly into February. Thank you to those willing to support, and I genuinely appreciate your belief in my craft and curation.

@ulnaband is making his triumphant return from tour with this sweet homecoming show // The one and only @blesstonio will be on the decks, our favorite DJ nominated as best house DJ in Chicago 2023 by @chicago_reader , an honor! // @georgearthurcalendar is also coming back from making his live debut in CDMX, setting the groove of the night! // @glosscoats is playing some tracks we’ve never played in Chicago and will be joined by the MVP homie @j_____v_____ of Divino Niño on bass (thanks for letting us borrow him!)

Back at it next Thursday 19th at @martyrslive faced some challenges w this one w bands dropping, members suddenly unavailable but we decided to pull through and still play, we wanna get our music word out there! And sometimes that means playing a previously booked show the same day as your good homies (like @divinonino playing @metrochicago bummed to miss it!) we’ll be hitting the stage alongside @milkswarm / @eveblackband & @patowenleary thanks to Aviv for helping putting the show together.
