It took a whole lot of friends, dedication, preparation, fuel, love, and smiles to get me through to that last loop on the track in Auburn. I couldn’t have done any of it without the immense support I got from the best community in the world. No matter how hard you train or how much of your life you dedicate to becoming a better runner, it all comes down to the people you have around you, supporting you. Chris Myers runs fast 🏃‍♂️💨 @halfasianchris ran his debut 100 miler at the Western States Endurance Run at the weekend, his longest race to date. Having officially joined the team recently, Chris had a Sweat Test and found he loses 839 milligrams of sodium per litre of sweat. Through the use of PF Carb & Electrolyte Drink Mix and Electrolyte Capsules, he was able to replace a decent proportion of his losses in the hot conditions (up to 36ºC / 97ºF) of California 🥵 This incredible performance puts him at 27th on the all time list 🤩 #themagnificentsix

Having outrun the law, Chris was last spotted on top of The Gorge Waterfall 50k podium, where he'd reportedly taken in ~101g of carb and ~649ml of fluid per hour🥇 Chris - who officially joined our posse recently - realised he'd been significantly under-doing his electrolyte intake when we Sweat Tested him, and that this was likely contributing to his issues with cramp ⚡ With this intel, Chris will get out of Dodge (or rather, Olympic Valley!) for @wser with 1 x PF 90 Gel, 5 x Electrolyte Capsules, 1L x Carb & Electrolyte Drink Mix and 300g of carb from Flow Gel 🧨 #themagnificentsix

Along with the 2017 edition, this year’s Black Canyon Ultras may go down in history as one of the dirtiest yet. Our desert trails typically tend to soak up the rain and stay in tact relatively well, but they do get to a point where they become far too saturated and the dirt on certain sections of the Black Canyon National Trail will become much more muckier than other sections. 👉Did you notice that while out on course? The farther down the Black Canyon Trail you journeyed, the less messy. All the mud sure makes for great post-race stories though, doesn’t it? 🤠
