Johann Sebastian Bach/ Prelude in C major Tutú. @theama_for_dance The Glorieta de la Transexual Sonia is a public space located in the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona, named in 2013 in honor of Sonia Rescalvo Zafra, a transgender woman who was tragically murdered by a group of neo-Nazi skinheads in 1991. Previously known as the Glorieta of the Musicians or Plaza of the Musicians, this area now serves as a powerful symbol of remembrance and resilience. Each year, the Glorieta de la Transexual Sonia becomes a gathering point for tributes and the defense of the LGBT+ community, fostering a sense of solidarity and celebration. This special place not only honors Sonia’s memory but also highlights the ongoing fight for justice and equality for all individuals, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
