I was so shocked when they said my name and gagged they had a 3-minute speech about my work 😭 I wish my mum could have been there, but I had my big sis and mother of whole generations of queers: @pedraxcosta ! Big up for sis @natalie.greffel for your award Vocalist of the Year 🚀 and the cutie collective @queercheer_berlin for your Special Prize and for making me headliner of your festival last year at Jazzwoche ❤️ Fun fact: yesterday I woke up and said out loud “Today is a beautiful day to win an award”. Mainha é sinônimo de cura, resiliência, fé, compreensão, dedicação, paciência… Após haver passado 16 anos vivendo longe, eu tive uma temporada de 6 meses no Brasil, onde pudemos vivenciar uma rotina sem pressa, sem culpa, sem preocupação com o fim da jornada. E isso foi tudo que eu precisava nesse momento da minha vida, um pouco longe dos palcos mas processando muita coisa interna; ressignificando o passado pra vislumbrar outros futuros possíveis. O amor de mãe é insubstituível e eu espero poder viver rotinas e realidades muitas ainda contigo assim: juntinhas. Te amo!
