The dust has settled after a crazy week last week, it’s time for me to show my gratitude. Thank you to everyone who came to @saeule_berlin last Thursday. It was truly an amazing experience, one that I won’t forget. Thank you @berghain_ostgut Also thanks to Vel and Jolly who created a great atmosphere and to those who danced, I felt the energy from start to finish. I’m grateful for the overwhelming response and all the lovely comments and I hope to see you again soon! I feel super privileged to be playing @saeule_berlin @berghain_ostgut this month along side @jolly_6669 and @vel_musique 🥵 It’s been a humbling journey to get to this point. Not just in music but in life. But through hard work and self reflection, I found inspiration that has given me purpose. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to sharing my selection. Out for a couple of weeks now - my latest release ‘Tides of Time’ is available as part of the new @noborders.music extended VA. An amazing two part release also available on compact disk 💽 Thanks to @_shaven and the @noborders.music crew who are on fire at the moment. Also @c.elestyalthreads with solid artwork… So many talented people on this release who are humbling me as a producer. But don’t let the track get lost in the shuffle… This track actually came together nicely and one I’m very happy with. With some nice trancy elements from my Virus, keeping it raw, authentic and free of any loop packs 🚨 As someone who always puts a lot of time and effort and emotions into each track, the details and layers are what count for me. Satori Volume Two has been out for a couple of weeks but you can now listen to ‘dark skies’ on my soundcloud. I wanted to give all three tracks space to breath and not post all in the same week as I feel I put a lot of energy and meticulous attention into my productions. I’m a perfectionist and my own biggest self-critic and after years of crating and grinding away, I still feel I’m learning and improving all the time. But sometimes with the pace of the industry, style and genre shifts and the rate of releases, many times tracks can be forgotten or lost in VAs. So it’s my intention to try and take more control and put more attention on the tracks I’m really happy with. It is my goal to continue to evolve my productions and deliver the best music I can and so I’m excited to see where I can take Satori. It can be a bit of a slow burn when started a label, especially when doing everything yourself. Tracks, mixing, mastering, artwork, marketing, posting etc. but hopefully you can feel the energy I put in and hopefully the quality shows. Simon 😎

‘Libra’ is something I made a year ago with the mind of making something raw and authentic. Without trying to make something to fit any particular vibe. It’s one of my favourite tracks and quite an emotional piece. I played it last year at Säule and it sounded super nice. I also played it a few times since when the moment felt right. The track has a nice kick & rolling bass with some interesting percussive layers and hat rhythms. The haunting strings along with the low pad and classic Roland choir pad really add to the melancholy. I also made ‘Libra’ a bit longer as the arrangement kind of flowed that way and it also has a nice striped down melodic outro. Now up on my soundcloud, let me know what your think. The track will be out this Friday 17th May as part of @satori.label volume 2. A very important EP for me that is dedicated to my father ‘the original partier’ who passed away 10 years ago to the day 🖤
