South Brooklyn Running Club

This club is fueled by community. 💖 “Sometimes big, sometimes small Sometimes no one at all. If you’re waiting to come Then this is your run. We have everyone at all paces With plenty of stops at different places. So come along for the fun And some coffee at the end of our run.” Meet us at the corner of Court & President at Carroll Park every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:45am for our coffee runs. It’s definitely weeks after the Brooklyn Half, but this after party photo deserves a spot on the grid. Too many stellar people in one space. Drum roll please, but this year’s half marathon had an SBRC record of 79 (!!!) runners who crushed the Brooklyn Half course. Big love to all who ran and all who cheered. Let’s do it again next year?! 🫶

Maybe a sub 2:00 half marathon was your someday goal. Maybe you’ve been working months to PR. Maybe your first Boston was a race four years in the making. No matter your story, SBRC stays rooting for you. Nothing short of pure joy watching our friends fly by us at the NYC Half this past Sunday. Congrats to our 50+ runners who tackled a tough course and ran their first to 30th (!!!) half marathon. 🎉 These races are made even more special by the SBRC Cheer Zone, our friends at @brooklynrunningco for hosting, and our expert team of trackers (peep the second to last photo!) who scouted out where our runners would be on course. Brrr it’s cold out here, there must be some snowy runs in the atmosphere 🎶 For us, running as of late has meant: ❄️ saturday long runs in a winter wonderland ✋🏼 high fives from small humans at the cherry tree 10 miler by @prospectparktc 😇 snow angel making in red hook 🌀 6:15am track tuesday in a storm 🐻‍❄️ polar plunging post 18 miles with @motivny 🏙️ a casual run around the whole perimeter of Manhattan, just for fun (!!!) We’re a community running through all the seasons. While we can’t guarantee snow, we can guarantee some good company on those colder running days. 📸 @jplang @illya315 @moniquejaques @ejmark

It’s a new year and we’re coming in strong with so many races, both near and far, to start 2024 off just right. Coffee runs with us are brewing at 6:45am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week! Meetup point for these runs is Carroll Park on the corner of Court and President. This year’s Philly Marathon Weekend was one for the books with a whole lotta SBRC runners!
