YESS!!! The announcement the entire fashion community has been waiting for. It is officially here!!!! Every year the Charlotte Fashion Community stands up and stands out, We put our Passion to Play and we put on the largest most inclusive fashion event in this great Queen City!! And this year we will eclipse it all!!! Introducing “The Sound of Fashion”. An event like no other. Where fashion meets music!! Each designer will present an exclusive collection, never before seen, with a music genre as the backdrop!!! And this is not just a fashion show……this is an all out fashion party. After the runway lights go down, the party begins. Charlotte’s biggest fashion party in history will begin and go on until we just can’t take it anymore!!!! We are turning Pine in Noda into Fashion Central. 17,000 square feet of fashion. 60 foot ceilings, over 2000 square feet for model and designer space! A full hair and make up team to support our talent, and the greatest people in the world of fashion doing what we do!!! The Charlotte Fashion Collective is the voice of The People!. And we Charlotte Fashion Members AKA“The People of Fashion”. Work so hard all year long doing what we do!!!! And we now bring our art, our love, and our passion to the most elite runway in the Carolina’s, as we celebrate The Art of Fashion through the Sound of Fashion!! Saturday October 19. 6:00 pm until the wee hours of the morning. Stay tuned…..so much more to come!!!!! This is a “My Size Community” Event. What’s “My Size”? It’s you!!! The Charlotte Fashion Collective was honored to be in the company of such amazing talent this past weekend, at the Black Elegance Designer Showcase. The CFC was out at “The Black Elegance Designer Showcase Saturday night…..and all we can say is wow!!!!!!! This piece designed by Skipp Waller from @blkkat4eva was a showstopper. And this model @model.bryana ….no words!!!! There are hundreds of pictures coming to all the models and designers from this event. One of the highlights of the year. Getting to work with the incredible Elle Reed. Looking Glass Falls in Brevard feels like home, when working with Elle!! Elle has been with the CFC from the start and always gives it all. This year we did a little sunset shooting on the Blue Ridge Parkway too, and it just worked!!!!! A message to photographers shooting models…..greatness only comes from the relationship you have with the model you are shooting. It has to be a combined vision with a purpose. , You have to take the time to get to know the people you are working with and to respect their purpose. When agencies and casting directors look at your pictures and want to know more about you as a photographer….then you are not a “model photographer”. Your job is to make the viewer want to know more about your subject “the model”. If your shooting fashion, it’s about the look, if you want it to be about the picture first……well…..that’s what landscape photography is for. All photography is art, and yes your vision is important……but don’t let the vision get in the way of the purpose!!!! Thank you @elle_reed10 for all you do. Hanging out with my buddy @hannah.donye uptown clt this weekend. Taking in the city streets with my Nikon F2, Ilford HP5 Plus film, developed in my bathroom and scanned with my Epson V850. Been a while since I shot film. There’s nothing that feels better than taking the film out of the canister and seeing that you have exposures!!!!!
