The need to support FLINTA “FLINTA is a German abbreviation that stands for "Frauen, Lesben, Intergeschlechtliche, nichtbinäre, trans und agender Personen", meaning women/females, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people.” Recent statistics released by ‘Female:Pressure’ made us disturbingly aware that we still have a long way to go to reach equality in FLINTA representation on lineups. (only 30% female, 3% non-binary, 7% mixed) “We can do better than this!” was the thought of ARTDICTIVE, RIOT, Sofia Malokaj and RADION. Boudica Music Conference 2023 was an absolute dream that you will soon be able to relive via Mixcloud on 10.01.24. ✨☁️ Our day & night takeover of FOLD saw so many incredible people come through the doors; from the panellists, mentors, DJs and community participants, it was a bit of a pinch me moment for the Boudica team. This epic trailer by Giorgia Galantino provides a little bit of insight into the day for those who were sadly unable to attend… 🚨More good news: we will be streaming every single panel from BMC23 on Mixcloud on Wednesday 10th January. On the 13th of July, Nanzhen Yang will be on closing duties for Boudica x Gegen at FOLD. Those who have been lucky enough to experience Nanzhen’s closing sets, will know that this will be an unmissable journey. Boudica x Gegen begins on the 13th of July at 23:00. Nanzhen Yang is a multiple-disciplinary artist and DJ based in London. She seeks comfort in chaos, emotions in mechanical sound, combining her love of electronic music with experimental soundscapes - she unfolding the narrative between romanticism and heavy-hitting industrial. Her dedication for deep digs and broad musical selections, thrive by her skill to create a captivating sonic journey. Her unique mixings have been heard locally and internationally, not only as a familiar face in the London music scene, but she has also expanded her music footprint in Berlin, Copenhagen, Riga and Prague.
