The Legacy Marathon, a three-part, unsanctioned run, covers either 10 miles or 10 kilometers each weekend, giving runners the chance to experience all of Los Angeles and complete the marathon distance 👟 Starting in Hollywood ⭐️, the course takes you through the vibrant and diverse neighborhoods of Los Angeles, showcasing the best of the City of Angels while also incorporating some of the most iconic and historic routes. By keeping the Legacy Runners and OG courses in mind, BlacklistLA has designed a route 🗺️ that perfectly captures the city’s vibe. As you run through Hollywood, West Hollywood, Melrose, Mid City, South Central, The Coliseum, DTLA, Boyle Heights, the 6th St Bridge, Arts District, Placita Olvera, Chinatown, and LA Historic Park, you’ll be inspired by the rich cultural heritage, diverse communities, and millions of stories that make this city so unique. The Coffee Run is one of our newest additions, offering a perfect Sunday reset. It’s a chance to run a few miles and enjoy a post-run coffee. Our Run Captains select local businesses known for their tasty pastries 🍩🥯🥐 and delicious cafecito ☕️. Welcome to Part Three of the Legacy Marathon, the final stage before completing the Marathon distance. Spending most of the last stretch in DTLA, you’ll run through 7th Street towards East Los. Yes, that means we get some bridges! Woohoo! After exploring a bit of Boyle Heights, you will get the best view of the city by running over the 6th St bridge. If we were running this Legacy Marathon in one go, we would be at approximately mile 19 😍 It was amazing to run up Figueroa, pass the Coliseum and Staples Center, and see the skyscrapers getting closer and closer. The rest of the route will take us through DTLA, Boyle Heights, Arts District, El Pueblo, and Chinatown. So yes, we’ll run the iconic 6th Street Bridge 😆 The squad will be running the final 10K (6.2 miles) this weekend 💪 Thank you so much to all the folks who have joined all weekends.
