Berlin-based artist Floran Hetz's gorgeous photos show true diversity among people with different body types, exploring the connection between sex positivity and photography. His new series, "Beneath the Surface", is specifically about skin color - its nuanced beauty, but also the way society has a tendency to categorize humans depending on the way they look. These photos are almost abstract, as barely recognizable body parts come together to create something romantic and personal. Skin of all different hues press, fold, and squeeze together to create little close-up details of tension and intimacy. There's something almost clinical in the way Hetz shoots bodies, with every vein and tendon showing; but it's real, raw, and ultimately, very powerful.
