Plaster casts of ancient furniture in the slave quarters of a Roman villa outside Pompeii… note the tools of a carpenter. The casts are made from the voids organic materials like wood, ropes and textiles left in the ash deposits of the 79 AD eruption, a unique feature of Pompeii.
