Plenty of hooks and pace changes to keep things interesting, this will appeal to fans of early FUCKED UP. Happy days. EMASCULATA (X-Files Hardcore / Falmouth) Raging X-Files themed hardcore with a bit of skate punk hook but met on a really, really bad day. FFO: F-MINUS and smoking your MORLEYS like the black-lunged motherfucker you are. ✯ V.H.S (Hardcore / Plymouth) Fast punk with some 80s Californian swagger that takes a dive through the Blockbuster-bins of 80s cinematic classics. ✯ MONOLITHIAN (Doom Sludge / Falmouth) Monolithian "...will deconstruct your skull with their epic mind-numbing blackened doom metal madness." - heavyplanet FFO: Crushing heaviness. ✯ ID ID ID (Noise Rock / Southampton) New(ish) Southampton noise rock from Old(ish) heads with a dual drum attack, harsh electronics, vile guitar and bass, and demented yelping. Shades of early SWANS. THE FIFTY-THIRD PUBLIC DIS-SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (and our last regular monthly show) ✯ DEALING WITH DAMAGE (London) First Southampton show in a long while from these scene veterans.Think mid-80s Revolution Summer style post hardcore (like your Dischord Records favourites) with a nod to the UK sound that drew on that wave of bands. Catchy, melodic, and well worth your time. / ✯ BITTERMAN (Portsmouth) Were stoked these APDA favourites are able to play before we drift off into semi-retirement. Lovely people playing nasty noise rock. Think Amphetamine Reptile Records and JESUS LIZARD. / ✯ SKULKER (Portsmouth) New hardcore punk band featuring Rob from BITTERMAN. We've not heard them - but we expect it to be a bit like classic punk but faster, stripped back, shoutier and probably better dressed. ✯ Doors at 5pm ✯ £10 cash on the door if you can afford it. £5 if you can’t.
