I wanna start by saying I apologize for not being active for awhile. My electric was out for 4 days and on top of that, I’ve been helping family a lot more recently do things like mowing and cleaning. I’ve also been studying for my permit test and getting over drivers anxiety. So, I’ve just been kinda coasting and doing my own things. Now that all of that is addressed, this is absolutely my favorite piece I’ve ever done, ever. Small headcanon time because I absolutely have so much love for Harvey and stardew. When he gets to work, he realizes that his kid ((with the player)) put stickers on his tie and it’s a small reminder of all he has. Another one is that the player ((or farmer, whichever you prefer)) leaves little notes everywhere for him to read when he finds them. Like on tabletops, in books, on his computer, etc. what inspired this drawing is a dialogue line and it genuinely made me want to cry. “This place is my home now... I’m happy here.” STOP RN HARVEY MY HEART IS BURSTING YOU ARE SO PRECIOUS MWAH I LOVE YOU. The background was rough and I spent so long on the lineart, and I used a different lineart color. Now that I got all of that out, I plan to get the stardew valley cookbook because i saw it today at Walmart and when I tell you I audibly gasped- I did. So, when I get paid, I plan to go back for that and then also some new septum rings. FINALLY SUPERNATURAL FANART!! I absolutely love the show and I have for years. I first started watching around season 8/9 and watched it until it ended. This show always holds a special place in my heart and it’s 100% a comfort show for me. Me and my grandma used to watch it together and she’d always call me after it was over and we’d talk about the episode and what we thought would happen next. Now that the lore is out of the way and a small explanation why I love it, I thought I’d draw dean playing pool :3 To be honest, I’ve never really drawn hair like this so, it was a bit of a struggle because to me, it doesn’t really look like dean. However, I am proud of this one because of the pool balls😭😭 Also, the hands look… rough but, not terrible. I really enjoyed drawing this one and I absolutely love the way it came out! I drew venti again :3 looking back at the other venti drawings I did, it’s nice to see improvement. I am slowly finding my style and I’m really excited to draw more things. All that aside, I realized I barely draw animals so I wanted to draw a small bluebird. I wanted to draw a bluebird because it’s a symbol of hope, love, and renewal and is also a part of many Native American legends. It symbolizes the essence of life and beauty. I also wanted to avoid overdoing it by adding too many shadows/ too much lighting and I’m so happy with the way this one came out! Venti is 100% my favorite character and has been since the start of the game :3. His teapot voicelines are genuinely so comforting, like for example, “Okay! Ahem... My dearest companion, is there something you wish to tell me?!” And if you choose, “I’ve been pretty tired lately...” he says, “ I understand how you feel. When you just can’t find any more energy, and the world falls into a haze — even apples lose their sweet flavor. If you can get some quality shut-eye at this time, you’ll feel a lot better when you wake up. Here, I’ll lend you my shoulder.” Then a little later in the dialogue, he says “At any rate, don’t worry. Finally, a Leon fanart piece that is actually happy with‼️ I don’t know if anyone else has this problem but, I struggle so much with drawing realistic video game characters. Like Arthur Morgan, Jin Sakai, Leon Kennedy, Cloud, Ghost, Soap, Price, etc- like- I have no idea why it’s so hard to do fanart for them and half of the time it doesn’t even look like them. However, I’m so happy with the way this one came out! Ever since I’ve been doing coloring/ art style studies from Sui Ishida, it’s helped me so much with not only color but just overall drawing better. I struggled so much with the lips and eventually, I just decided to keep them that way lol. The first one is my take of an art study of Sui Ishida’s style, the creator of Tokyo Ghoul. The second one is the picture I used as reference for the art study by Sui Ishida. ((Full credits go to him for the reference picture, you should 100% check out his work! He’s such an inspiration to me and I absolutely adore his work. )) I tried to find a brush to somewhat replicate the style but, I had to settle for a block type brush and my usual brush- but for a first time type study of Sui Ishida, I think I did okay. I’m eventually going to do more and post them as well :3 just wanted to show progress and show you how cool the art style is. I absolutely love the colors and the paint type style. I’m happy with the way it came out, and I absolutely love the style of coloring. I was listening to Zelda’s Lullaby earlier and felt inspired to do something peaceful and more calm. I wanted my focal point to be the flower, and link of course :3 Also, I added piano music notes of Zelda’s lullaby because I thought it would be cool and suit the piece better. Tbh, I should’ve lowered the opacity a little on them but- I’m still super proud of this one. A lot of people go against black lineart but, tbh I like it a lot more than I do colored. It brings out everything and to me, enhances the colors. As I was rendering his vest ((the first layer)), I realized that I completely drew it wrong but, I still wanted to push through and continue it. I’ve been trying to complete artworks, even if they aren’t good so I can learn from my errors and still push through for the experience. However, I wanted to practice more anatomy things like gesture drawing, hands, torso, etc and also weapons along with it. I was listening to a zhongli playlist and I heard this song and kinda wanted to just draw something. Even the genshin weapons are detailed💀💀there’s no escaping the detail but, if I missed a few, please bare with me lol. I spent most of this doing lineart and trying to figure out what pose worked. Anyway, I want to say that I’ve been doing warmup sketches before officially drawing and it’s been such a lifesaver and it’s helping me so much when I get frustrated with myself/my art. I’ve been rather hard on myself over my art lately and it’s just been a bit of a struggle. I’m in the “what am I even doing?” Stage and I’m currently trying to get out of that art funk. So, I downloaded some new brushes and have been overall practicing a bit more. Lately, I’ve not really liked my style and I feel like I’ve been lacking in things like clothes, anatomy, and backgrounds.I have plans set to draw every stardew character and once I get more comfortable/confident in my art and in my style, open commissions. Right now, I’d be too embarrassed of myself to open commissions.
