Righto, last lot of breweries to announce now, its all getting a bit serious eh! The following is a tiny selection of the excellent breweries the UK has to offer, we're truly lucky to have these on our relative doorstep. When we started drinking it was London Pride, Guinness, or (blessedly) Oakleaf's Hole Hearted...but now look at it. Absurd, frankly. Good evening team, got a bittersweet but heartfelt brewery announcement tonight. It’s no secret Awakening’s history is tied up with Gosport’s lost brewery, @fallenacornbrew (formerly Oakleaf for those as old as me). Heroes from both FA and @quayweststudios have brought you Awakening the last two years and so we’ve made it a point to grab beer from those that’ve moved elsewhere. To that end, we’ve got beers from Mike at @makemakebeer , Aaron at @steamtownbrewco , Andy at @bowmanales and Elliot at @unitybrewingco . Mike’s been a massive part of this year’s festival with endless work on beer selection and his usual excellent design skills. We’ve also got Elliot, as well as ex-brewers Laura and Felix, and previous part owner Claire coming down to help pour delicious beers. A little reunion of brilliant people so please come down and say hi to these people that helped do so much to build Gosport’s lively beer scene. Look out for the full beer list later in the week for full details, but I do know if you missed Makemake’s Nelson Universe DIPA elsewhere then you won’t be disappointed! Happy Sunday everyone! Weather’s gone straight to ass so here’s some brightening and joyous beery news for you @awknfestival ticket holders! There’s less than a week to go so we’re gunna blow all these out in one silly hit, enjoy! The EU and US Messy fellas: @theveilbrewing – Super Super Natural Natural Creature Creature – 8% DDH DIPA hopped on Citra, Galaxy, Enigma, Motueka, Kohatu, Amarillo and Mosaic. And then more Simcoe and Mosaic Cryo hops. Sounds like a right mess. Can’t wait. @imprintbeerco Schmoojee – Strawberry, Watermelon and Mango – 6.5% Obnoxiously fruited smoothie sour @mortalisbrewing – Mind Flayer – 7% Alphonso mango, peach, pineapple, banana and coconut pastry sour. Bloody hell. @omnipollo – Pleroma Blueberry Banana Marshmallow Crème Brûlée Sour – 6% Pastry sour. Owner Henok describes it as being inspired by northern forests and tropical jungles which I’m all about. And Crème Brûlée. Omnipollo – Pleroma Raspberry Dream Crème Brûlée Sour – 6% pastry sour, as above but with daft levels of raspberry. Pure pudding <3 Omnipollo x @angrychairbrewing – BA Lunar Lycan – 14.3% 31 Month Knob Creek Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Marzipan, Coffee and Cream. Cooool…cool cool cool…*shrug* So…that’s a lot, isn’t it. Gunna be some heavy breathing on this bunch. As with previous years we’ll be pouring these across different sessions and we’ll announce later in the week which day will be which! It’s Saturday so here’s a brewery AND a festival beer announcement! We teamed up the glorious South Coast legend Paul Judd of @phantombrewco (and formerly Staggeringly Good, the man’s got pedigree x) to put together a beer brewed between us, @greenbottles33 , @katiesvinylbar , and Awakening’s host @quayweststudios . Ghost Town is a wonderfully sessional 5% New England Pale Ale hopped on Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Southern Cross (honestly how great is the current proliferation of NS Hops, we’re so lucky). Its an homage to our great town, a place that sometimes gets lost between its bigger neighbours of Southampton and Portsmouth but has a scene that punches way above its weight. We love Gosport, and we hope you all come out to drink and dance with us at Awakening this year x #itstimeforanawakening

Got a big ole brewery announcement for you this evening! If you’re into big beers then you’ll be well aware of Midlothian’s Sinnister Brew. A teeny tiny brewery popping out unctuous and decadent treats for the lucky few. Logan’s graced us with the following two for you to get stuck into. Cannibalism & Witchcraft 12% barrel aged imperial stout This Imperial Stout is a blend of two different Imperial stouts. One was aged in a Tokaji dessert wine barrel from Hungary, whilst the other in a 12 year Blair Athol Scottish Whisky barrel Overnumerousness 11.5% Chocolate and Orange Speyside barrel aged Imperial stout This one’s a bit more mysterious as it’s not even out yet! Sounds like a right tasty pickle though! See you all soon x #itstimeforanawakening

BREWERY ANNOUNCEMENT // @8archbrewing 8 Arch are one of those breweries that consistently nail what they do. Quietly brewing away, with their solid core range, just pumping out solid beers (and winning an endless supply of SIBA awards whilst they do it). They're a firm Dorset favourite and long time friend of beer picker, Andrew, and we're so excited to bring them to Awakening! Our lineup had a little gap for a solid session pale so we've grabbed their inestimable 4.2% Square Logic (Mosaic and Citra, obviously). We've also punted for their 4.8% Porter, Quarterjack, which Steve doesn't brew nearly enough (and if we complain publicly like this maybe it'll creep back into the brewery schedule!). BAND ANNOUNCEMENT // @king_nun King Nun are currently on their EU tour - we are stoked to have them as our Friday headliner at @awknfestival ! From school friends to band mates King Nun have been on a long road to their upcoming second album. On this foundation, they have built their own off-kilter, indie punk hybrid, exhibited on 2019's mass cited by NME as 'brutal and brilliant' and DIY as 'a sound to be reckoned with'. The band have built an impressive live reputation too, listing headline tours in europe and the US, with Rolling Stone naming them 'Best Rock Newcomers' at Bonnaroo, and supporting artists including Foo Fighters, Black Flag and Gang Of Youths.
