@fumanchuband have created a "Listen With" playlist over on @qobuz Scott Hill says: "This is a lineup of past / present bands that I would put together for a festival today. It could change tomorrow, but this is for today. These bands helped shape the sound of Fu Manchu. The first band I remember ever hearing was Blue Cheer and their song "Babylon." When I was a kid, my dad would play it all the time. Then I heard other bands from friends’ older brothers - Black Sabbath, KISS and Foghat. In December 1980, a friend of mine had a cassette with a live Black Flag set on one side and a live Germs set on the other side and I was immediately hooked. My rock records were put in the closet and my punk / hardcore records took over my room. Around 1986 a lot of the punk / hardcore bands were either going Metal or poppy - neither of which I liked. But then I heard the Melvins, Soundgarden, TAD, The Laughing Hyenas and my focus was now on those type of bands. The headliner would be Jimi Hendrix!!!!!! Throw in some Doobie Brothers and The Police to give the ears a break and there you have my idea of a very guitar heavy festival…"
