it’s hard to think about anything but rafah right now and I don’t think we’re alone in this.
if, like us, you want to do something practical to help palestinians in need right now #, swipe til the end for info on two fundraisers set up to help get families out of gaza. links to both in our bio.
making our way around germany at this time has brought with it up some surprises. for one, we agreed to tour here partly because the govt caved in to pressure from strike germany in late january when it came to censoring musicians/artists speaking out against the israeli govt (we wouldn’t have toured here otherwise), which felt like some progress in a country that’s been grappling with such in–fighting on the subject. even still, the anti–bds tags we’ve seen around have felt genuinely jarring, and we’ve been lucky to have our trusty sharpies to hand to make necessary adjustments where necessary (see slide 5). a special shout-out to
#deligirls (slide 4) for their freeform industrial palestinian liberation set on saturday at trip festival – peak fucking punk. we love you.
apart from this unexpected dimension, germany’s been incredible. tonight we play heidelberg’s queer fest at karlstorbahnhof, berlin tomorrow and on to hamburg. los gehts x
