The Yoxman explores the 26ft bronze sculpture made by @laurenceedwards.bronze , who I had the pleasure of filming and interviewing. Standing in amongst the Suffolk landscape, the sculpture encapsulates all sorts of narratives about ecology, time, isolation and masculinity.
Battambang bamboo train
Cambodians originally made these motorised bamboo platforms using scrap metal left over from the civil war. They were cheap to operate and easy to move, given that much of the railway system had been destroyed by mines
Kaoh Pan island, Kampong Cham
Kicking myself for not bringing my camera to this Mekong river island, where all the houses are built on stilts and look like this !! In the dry season, the island used to only be accessible via the worlds longest bamboo bridge. In the wet season, much of the island used to disappear, hence the stilts.
A love letter to the food from the past 6 weeks and @anna_elliott2000 who left me this morning 💔
