Today is world fertility day.
I had no idea I would be one of the 10% of women who struggle to get pregnant. In short, this season for us was so unifying. Unsure at times, incredibly lonely others, but for the 2 of us… unifying. For the 3 of us, really. We fought for you, prayed for you, planned for you, drove 4+ hours back & forth monthly for you, got poked & prodded more times to count for you, did all kinds of invasive tests (lol) for you, and ultimately, fell so in love with you before you existed, our baby girl. We can’t believe you’re real. You’re worth it all.
I knew this season would be sweet, but fighting for it has made it all the more tender and I am thankful for the gratefulness, the want, and the tenacity God built in me through this.
I’m so thankful for the women I’ve connected with, and if you are currently in the middle of it, I pray for you EVERY DAY. You’re constantly on my heart & mind. Truly. 🤍
(Also, we found out that we were pregnant through a blood test — the results came through my email while Jake was on a zoom meeting, which is why I told him in the car 😂)
