I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to meet @guadalupe__maravilla and write a piece for @wmag on his art practice, his exhibition at @ballroommarfa , and the incredible work he does as a healer in our community. He is redefining what it means to be an artist and making sure it incorporates caring for those most in need around us. A link to the story is in my bio. Portraits by @ohyeahitseli .

This month marks the 50th anniversary of General Augusto Pinochet’s coup on the presidency of Salvador Allende in Santiago, Chile. I wrote a piece for @wmag on the documentarian Patricio Guzmán who has dedicated his career to making extraordinary films about Chile and that moment in history. They are some of my favorite films. A link to the story is in my bio and check out his films whenever you can.

Pepón Osorio is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, also one of my favorite artists. I had the honor of recently meeting him and writing a story for @wmag on his new show “My Beating Heart, Mi Corazón Latiente” now open at @newmuseum . Co-curators @margotnorton and @bernardomosqueira did an incredible job putting this spectacular exhibition together. A link to the story is in my bio and also go check out the show that will be up through September 17th. Portrait by @zachgross1 .
