My visit to the “Battlebox,” a historic British underground command center from WWII on Fort Canning Hill, frightened me a little. The lifelike wax figure appears real. 😓
Battlebox was built in 1936 as part of the headquarters of Malaya Command, the army that defended Malaya and Singapore in WWII. On February 15, 1942, after only 70 days, the British took the historic decision to hand over Singapore to the Japanese invaders.
