In the new year, we kick off a run of free shows at The Vaults in Southsea. Our first 3 line ups are now complete, so save the first Friday of each month free for free fun times.
As entry is free, maybe buy some artist merch, or head over to their Bandcamp pages/web stores and purchase some of their catalogue, if you can?

Free things are great and obviously, music is very great, so we're combining both and bringing FREE fun times the first Friday of each month at The Vaults in Southsea, Portsmouth, which we can't wait for, where we're bringing label family, friends and new pals to the city.
Jan 5 we have new krautrock/psychedelic ravers Lipworms ft members of SIR alumni Melt Dunes + SIR's acid folk psychedelic pop lovely Jules Smith and Pompey psychedelic outfit Number 9.
Feb 2 SIR's psychedelic folk pop quartet Daisy and the Deadheads return to Portsmouth, along with support from the wonderful psych folk Brightonian Rose io and Portsmouth dreampoppers Jalou, ft Jimmy Stuart of SIR alumni Is Bliss.
March 1, Liverpool's we have garage punk outfit, Yobs, fresh from signing to Fuzz Club and releasing their debut single, as they head down to Portsmouth for the first time with support TBA.
Don't even think of giving us any money on entry, BUT, if you can spare the change, then maybe buy some merch or music from artists to support - either at the show or via their stores, as it helps, and/or donate to your local food bank (most supermarkets have donation points)?

With austerity for over a decade-plus causing the rise of usage in food banks, along with the rapid cost-of-living crisis, the collective of Crocodile Nightmares, Mark Kellett, Strong Island Recordings, Velvet Candy and Vol. Promo respectively have decided to join forces once again for another edition of the Interstellar Food Drive, taking place at The Dockyard Club in Southsea 21 October.
Joining us for the day is noise-hardcore-punk outfit Scab, new ravey krautrock cosmonauts Lipworms, local legends Paul Groovy and The Pop Art Experience and their brand of frenzied garage and surf-punk, the whimsical Vashti Bunyan-esque-folk sounds of Megan Linford, instrumental surf outfit The Gary 7, the grunge-fuzz pop goodness of Rose’s Diary, psychedelic-space-rock riot Lytupp, 60s like psychedelic-poppers Number 9, Southampton shoegazers Burning House, and the gothic-tinged dreampop outfit Making Eyes.
The Interstellar Food Drive was birthed out of previous food bank drive events from over the years, which has seen the likes of Drug Store Romeos, Dead Rabbits, Hotel Lux, Melt Dunes, and Pregoblin play the food bank fundraiser. The 2020 version, due to the Covid-19 pandemic took place online and featured the likes of Lime Garden, Rosie Alena, TV Priest, Lynks, Jessica Winter, Ugly, Thyla, Maripool, Breathe Panel, Public Body and lots more emerging artists from the UK, as well as international acts including BADGERS, Sunfruits, Dear Doonan and Tropa Magica.
