The Five Beers of @glastofest Two things that are important - good #beer and keeping promises. I'm not sure if the good folks representing their breweries at @liverpoolcraftbrewfestival quite believed me when I said I was taking them to #glastonbury - but here we are. 5 special beers, one for each day. Ladies and gents I give you: Wednesday: @blackjackbeers with a cracking Helles, back at the tent. Everyone else frothing with envy as they cracked out the Carlsberg. Thursday: @neighbourhoodbc - this NZ IPA is proper choice...glad I could keep it cold! Love the Southern Hemisphere style. Friday: @bayonetbrewing - best to pace yourself for the first few bands eh? Tastes good and doesn't send you sideways. Saturday: Sometimes you need chaos and Saturday night is that time. @staggeringlygoodbeer and their ripsnorter - Prehistoric Chaos shocked even the crew of Jurassic Park Sunday: Last day. Driving on Monday. Delicate. Needed something tasty that would get me back in the game and the @cloudwaterbrew AF IPA is as good as it gets for an #alcoholfreebeer Cheers guys! More from my fantastic trip to @disruptionisbrewing this time it’s all about the stouts and the dog. So firstly the dog, hot dogs 🌭and beer 🍻 are a classic pairing especially if you add some sports into the mix. So in honour of the Euros⚽️⚽️⚽️ Disruption is doing a deal where the dog is only £4 with a flight or pint so I couldn’t resist getting one of these bad boys when I got my second flight and it’s didn’t disappoint. Lashing of mustard and ketchup made for a delicious, if messy feast ! Now let’s talk about the stouts 🖤🖤🖤. First up is ‘Shadow of Darkness’ like a thick, smoothy creamy after dinner coffee ☕️that comes with a chunk of rich bitter dark chocolate 🍫. Next is ‘MegaloDawn’ from Pompey based dinosaur 🦖wranglers @staggeringlygoodbeer this again is a stout that is full of coffee flavours, but this time it’s more Sunday morning coffee, sweeter, nuttier 🥜🌰 and vanilla flavoured, perfect. Finally things get big with ‘Maelstrom’ at 8.5%. Successful sunny Sunday at @therexsarms @staggeringlygoodbeer with the most incredible roast from @bearbonesbbqco - I’ve had their food a few times and have been wanting to try their roast for the LONGEST time and it did not disappoint ☀️☀️☀️
