⚡️NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT⚡️ Tamzene (@tamzene ) comes to TFR for the first time this October and tickets are on sale NOW 🖤 Since releasing her debut single, ‘accidentally told you’, in 2020, Tamzene’s music has been streamed around 8 million times and has received support from Spotify (New Music Friday UK, Your Kitchen Stereo, Easy Chilled Pop Hits, Pop UK) and Apple Music (New Music Daily, New in Pop, Breaking Acoustic). Tamzene has received plaudits from local and national tastemakers, including BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Victoria Jane), BBC Radio 6 (Morning After Mix), BBC Radio Scotland (Single of the Week), CLASH Magazine, The Line Of Best Fit, The Glasgow Times (interview) and The Line Of Best Fit (interview). She recently played to a sold out audience at the Lower Third in London, having previously supported the likes of Adele, James Bay, Jack Garratt, Katie Melua and Tom Jones. TFRx

The world initially met Icelandic singer-songwriter and producer Axel Flóvent in 2015 when he unveiled his independent debut Forest Fires EP. The title track “Forest Fires” eventually gathered north of 78 million Spotify streams and counting. He engaged audiences with his Quiet Eyes EP [2017], Tourist EP [2020], and full-length debut You Stay by the Sea [2021], amassing during the years million of streams and performing live around the world. At the end of 2023, Axel Flóvent started releasing new music. All new singles, including his latest offering ‘Chasing The Night’, are taken off his upcoming sophomore album ‘Away From This Dream’ recorded and mixed in London with British producers MyRiot (London Grammar, Aurora) and out now! The synergy was so compelling that they reconvened a year later to form the brand new band Just Like Clay. This summer they will burst onto the scene with performances at some of UK and Europe’s largest festivals. They come wielding huge momentum and excitement for what the future has in store for the new group. FOLKLOREx

⚡ NEW SHOW ANNOUNCED ⚡ Folklore Sessions Presents: Joseph Arthur + Support August 11th | The Folklore Rooms £15adv | 18+ Tickets are on sale via the website NOW 🖤 JOSEPH ARTHUR is an American singer, also recognized for his qualities as a painter. Spotted by Lou Reed and Peter Gabriel, in 1996, the artist now has around fifteen albums to his credit. He’s also at the origin of several bands: The Lonely Astronauts, Fistful Mercy which he founded with Ben Harper or even RNDM with Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam. Joseph Arthur on stage could be described as a fallen or cursed angel, who with his guitar, pedals and mics, builds live real swirling and captivating melodies which gives stripped-down pieces, without artifice, inhabited solely by the singer’s voice. Joseph Arthur draws his inspiration from Leonard Cohen, Joe Henry and Jeff Buckley. The finesse of the compositions and the richness of the orchestrations make Joseph Arthur one of the best American songwriters of the XXI century. His song “In the Sun” was covered by singer Michael Stipe of R.E.M and Chris Martin of Coldplay, as well as by Peter Gabriel. FOLKLOREx
