A lot of people ask us where we are. It’s on the crossroads so opposite #Biocity also opposite #TheNottinghamLegend and across the road from #MachineMart , down the road from @nottinghamarena This is where we are, technically this building is known as @1fishergatepoint and the upstairs event room is @theoldbusdepot . This side door is the one we use for people coming and going to gigs. If you ever want to stop by then buzz lobby or co-working space and we can show you around. (Or message us here in advance preferably so we can make sure we’re free to give you the tour). We are a community arts space. We have offices for creatives to rent. Some of our current tenants are @hockleyhustle , @acoustickle_ and @nottinghamcyf . We have a recording studio ( @hoam.notts ) used for all the @circle.of.light.notts projects and @imnotfromlondon Records that you can hire out. We’ve an events space upstairs that is also available to hire for workshops ( we have children’s subsidised music lessons via @nottmusichub ) ,dance (Capoeria on Thursdays) & regular acting classes ran by @theactorsworkshopnottingham We host regular gigs ran by @imnotfromlondon & guest promoters @rammel_club @gnarwhal.presents and many more promoters/bands hire the space if they want to put their own nights on. All the events have a licensed bar and we serve a variety of beverages from all around the known world (mainly Red Stripe,Guinness (alc and 0%),Strongbow, Punk IPA and more spirits than Poltergeist #2 . We have a gallery space downstairs that’s currently exhibiting the ‘Wild Women’ collection by @sugar.stealers and soon we’ll have a cafe and downstairs bar. It’s all very exciting. We have a downstairs car park for tenants and our nearest car park is about 2 mins walk away : Pemberton St, Nottingham NG1 1GS which charges £1 per hour, £5 till 6pm, £4 for the evening or £7 for 24 hours (they only take coins in the machine). One day soon we’ll have a sign that will draw people to our venue like revelling moths to a musical flame. For now this photo will have to suffice. For my first ever “Cherry On Top” at @theoldbusdepot in @fishergatepoint , we’ve got an exciting gig kicking off the shenanigans! 💥 Songwriting señor @willi.p.tunes is gonna be sharing his folky & bluesy bangers, with hints of spicy jazz from @adzonly , violin magic by @luna.abou.saad , and backing vocals by @natures.nice.things & myself! “Cherry On Top” is a creative extravaganza comprising of weekly gigs, Open Mic and Jamming!
