‘Cherubs Basking’ This one was fun, I definitely spent a long time on it bcs I’ve been too ill to really get into my pieces. Ibis says I spent 4 and a half hours on it but it was over the course of a few days. This was kind of made as a way to conceptualize my feelings on religion. The boy cherub is Christianity and the girl cherub is Cosmopsychism but they’re both facing the same light, just at different angles. There’s no book, only flowers, and their robes are layered differently. The boy’s robe has a cross and the top layer opens his chest (to symbolize hyper-socialization); while the girl’s robes are crossed against her chest (to symbolize introspection). They’re holding hands and under an arch to symbolize unity, and in silent prayer to symbolize the individuality and difference in their prayer without conflict. I feel both of them sometimes, and I have to remind myself that it doesn’t matter the words or names you use when talking about life and the world, just that the flowers ‘reach both sides’ (you’re spreading positivity and goodness). I price based on skill level, speed, and experience, considering I have a pretty good-sized portfolio to prove my ability. That said, I can provide discounts during down seasons and with a payment of art beside the cost. In honor of my newest plushie and all the joy and happiness it brings me- I’ve made a piece showing how this Lemon Clarice plushie makes me feel. For years, I’ve always wanted a Clarice plush- but never had the means to buy it. I had fallen so in love with the Clarice short film- it was at the beginning of my art journey and I drew a picture of Clarice all over my notebooks and sketchbooks. I absolutely loved her design. Her story. The poem at the end of her introduction. When I saw this summer edition version of Clarice- clad in my favorite color- I finally had the means to buy her. I had no idea she came with a rattle inside.. but the first time I shook it- it awakened my inner child and I couldn’t help but cry about it. It sounds stupid because it’s just a 6 legged lamb stuffie colored like a lemon- but this brought so much happiness and peace to my inner child it’s hard to explain. I did @yaemikki ‘s #yaemikki2kdtyis ! This was a super relaxing and fun to draw, I haven’t done long free flowing hair in ages so I got a little carried away with the intertwining locks 🫢 I was healing from some burns so I had a lotta time to work on this piece- and I’m actually pretty proud of the composition! I went with the flow for the outfit change but tried to keep the same style and vibe Super cool character and am very glad I got to work on another female character subject that’s only vaguely out of my comfort zone lmao-

I finally made a piece of this beautiful Cherubim- Yuli (pink) and his best friend Psil (blue). I adopted Yuli (pink) from @ahullan_ (original design on last slide) and subsequently made him a mirrored friend. (Because vanilla can’t just do a single portrait anymore) (More on these two later)

I re-drew/rendered an older piece for funsies since rendering and detail work is my favorite part about making art- and I didn’t even have to lay down any of my least favorite parts for this! On a real note, I’ve been in a lot of pain. It’s a daily struggle to even get out of bed anymore, because I know daily activity is going to cause a pain flare up. I can’t focus on one thing for long, not even stuff I enjoy, because my body completely hijacks my brain and makes me miserable. I’m trying to push through it so I don’t sleep all day everyday, but it’s a struggle. I’ve taken a big break from making new art and just recently started a new one, plus, a few collabs are coming up and I’ll get to share those pieces soon too. I wanna experiment a little with my artstyle to kinda help remove the less fun parts. I’m gonna throw up sparkles bcs they make me happy and give me dopamine to scatter all over the piece. I might also do this more often- re-rendering old pieces because I’ve def gotten better. ^^
