With so many new games on the horizon, it is important to also be on the lookout for intriguing expansions. And have I got some of those for you! 😉 So without further ado, let’s check out some of them. ❓ What are your most anticipated expansions? 🐉Mage Knight: The Apocalypse Dragon Why not start with the biggest news out of the 4 games here. Mage Knight! 😮 One of the most highly regarded games, especially in solo-circles. Seeing this expansion announced was unexpected, but it also feels like a no-brainer at the same time. A new character, new enemies, new locations, new foes - actually, whatever it adds it is an auto-buy immediately. 😅 🛸Gaia Project: Lost Fleet Getting an expansion for one of the undoubtedly best heavy euros out there is definitely enough to make your heart skip a few beats - several beats in fact! 🤩 From what I’ve read Lost Fleet will bring 4 new factions to the game, and expand your map with smaller tiles than introduce 2 new planet types. Additionally there are space ships of the Lost Fleet in deep space that you can explore to gain access to special abilities. ⚙️Expeditions: Gears of Corruption Not all Stonemaier games are a success with us, but we really enjoy Expeditions, so an expansion is welcome. It will bring more characters and mechs to play as, but most notably a hostile corrupted mech that roams around, and map tokens that have special bonuses. I am certainly interested in exploring this game even more in the future! 🙂 🏛️Akropolis: Athena Akropolis is a fun gateway with amazing aesthetics, as you draft triple-hex tiles to build up your ancient greek city. Athena will introduce Construction cards to spice up gameplay, that require players to build out specific patterns in their city. When you fulfill one of these cards, you can either pick a piece of the Athena statue or claim a nifty 1-hex tile. Completing the full statue with 4 pieces will make your leftover stones very valuable though! Can't wait for these all to become available! 😁
