I was actually surprised at how easy it was to learn and teach this game, the rulebook was an easy read with a lot of pictures and some helpful hints to get you started.
Each turn is made up of two phases, the explore phase and the build or attack phase. In the first phase players draw cards from the exploration deck, these cards might provide a boon or a setback or they could be something you keep in your hand to play later. During the first phase players also get the opportunity to buy cards, train their skills, trade and play cards. In the second phase players decide if they want to attack (a stronghold or maybe another player’s hero) or build on their personal build tree.
I think my favorite thing about this game is the multiple paths to victory, I just really like having options.
This was such a fun world to get into, between the graphic novel and the game, and I cannot wait to see the final version of this game! I’m already planning to get this one to the table again soon to check out some of the other kingdoms!
Once again I have to give a quick thank you to
@windsofnumasera for letting me review this early copy of Winds of Numa Sera! Be sure to check them out for more info on this awesome game, it’ll be hitting Kickstarter very soon!
Ps. This is a prototype copy, so the final version may look slightly different.
