About a month ago, after going through some serious changes and growth in my life, I started writing songs for myself again. This collection of songs has grown into a full album, an album that I am attempting to perform and produce myself. For the last two years, I’ve been focused on writing songs for other artists and I’m extremely proud of all of them. Some you’ve heard and some you’ll hear soon. This new album is for me and is the closest thing I’ve ever done to what I originally set out to do when I decided to make music my life and my career back in 2017. I’ll have some updates soon but, to everyone who has supported me from “I’ll Never Leave You” up until now, thank you and this album is for you too… 🤙🏻

One year without my best friend. I think about everything that’s happened in the year he has been gone but so many amazing things happened in my life that he got to see. Drove cross country together multiple times, met and married the love of my life, the start of my career and the birth of my son. I’m so grateful that I got so many good years with my best friend, some of them were the best years of my entire life. He changed my life in so many ways and was with me through everything that made me who I am today. Grateful is the only thing I feel now, the sadness and void is gone. I love you, Odie, and I know I’ll see you again someday. A big thank you to @partingstone for being a big part of my grieving journey. I’m going to be posting more about them in the coming days ♥️

That smile, a smile I first saw sitting across the table from me at a cafe in nashville, showed me the path I wanted to follow for the rest of my life. In honor of my five year anniversary of knowing my wife, I want to announce something special. I don’t have a firm date yet but this is a snippet of the next song I will be putting out soon called “As Long As You’ll Stay”. I wrote this with @oldseabrigade and @trentdabbs about a year ago. We put a lot of love into it for the people we love. This will be my next release and I’m not sure when the one after this will be. I’m working on a lot of different things and they have all taken me to so many place and I’m extremely grateful. I’m very proud of this song and I really hope you dig it when it’s finally out.
I used to share a lot more gardening and DIY videos but haven’t been doing it as much. The last few summers in Nashville have been way too hot do anything but this year seems a little bit better. Things are growing really well and we haven’t had too many crazy storms or anything. I think I’m going to do some recipe videos with all the stuff I’ve grown. So far I’ve just got tomatoes, some peppers, cucumbers and squash. All the veggies I started from seed packets but the herbs I just picked up at Trader Joe’s!
