A segunda edição de Shipyard, pro bem ou pro mal, traz de volta o título original na íntegra. Melhora o visual aqui ou ali, tem um controle engenhoso do fluxo do jogo e do passar dos turnos, mas no final... mesmo jogo. Sem tirar nem pôr. O sistema de action selection continua sólido, mas o grande destaque está no puzzle da composição das embarcações, cruzado com os objetivos e as marcas de pontuação nos canais. É aquele tipo de jogo em que a cada navio que parte você fica com a sensação de realização. Gostei, gostei bastante! O tema não tem apelo pra mim, acho careta e desinteressante, e o jogo é realmente longo, mas em momento algum a ponto de incomodar ou ofuscar sua solidez. Entre pontos altos e baixos, um bom jogo, e compreende-se bem pq pra muitas pessoas merece celebração. Pra mim... bom jogo!!!

Underwater Cities by @deliciousgamesboard is a game I always love to revisit once in a while, even though it has a lot of the ingredients I don't like in boardgames. 😅 It plays pretty solitaire with the only interaction being blocking worker placement spots and snatching away valuable endgame cards. Also it's pretty calculable, in typical eurogame fashion. Normally this would be enough for me to say "thanks, but no".
But oh my gosh I just love the theme and the setting so much. 😍 As an avid scuba diver the imagination of building an underwater city is just something I adore. So I really love to get lost in the artwork and in the story that unfolds in my head playing this game. It's a definite keeper in my collection and whenever I'm missing the ocean a lot this comes to the table and gives me some relief.

Wszelkie podobieństwo wydarzeń przedstawionych w tej grze do prawdziwych wydarzeń jest zupełnie przypadkowe. Czy aby napewno ?
Konieczności eksodusu z Ziemi na inną planetę na szczęście jeszcze nie mieliśmy, ale wybiegając w przyszłość kilka miliardów lat 4-5, taka okoliczność zaistnije.
Czy mamy w grze klimat?
Kilka mechanizmów gry oddaje faktycznie rzeczywistość:
✅ wpływ satelit na sterowanie produkcją oraz urywanie łączności, która ogranicza możliwości sterowania po przekroczeniu odpowiedniej „odległości’ od planety - utrata łączności to niestety utrata możliwości sterowania i to są fakty, a odległość ma wpływ na łączność takie są prawa fizyki
✅ niedostępność zasobów jednej planety na drugiej - oczywiste, bilokacji ani teleportacji jeszcze nie wynaleziono nawet w czasach w których rozgrywa się fabuła gry
✅ stopniowanie możliwość zagopodarowywania różnych biomów (las, woda, tundra, pustynia) na nowej planecie
✅ Ziemia kiedyś naprawdę zostanie zassana przez Słońce - na szczęście mamy trochę wicej czasu na to niż 4 lata :)
✅ nawet stadiony ... no cóż igrzysk i chleba ludność domaga się od niepamiętnych czasów, a np. w Japonii jak się zawali most to przywożą nowy w całości ... to może i stadiony da się przewieźć jako prefabrykaty i nawet ten najbardziej kontrowersyjny pomysł nie wydaje się już taki dziwny :)
Mnie urzekła tematyka gry, która spowodowła odżycie wspomnień z czasów studenckich gdy prowadziłem seminarium o ewolucji gwiazd, poszukiwanie w każdej najmniejszej mechanice gry odpowiednika w prawach fizyki oraz możliwości współczesnej inżynierii dodatkowo budowały w mojej głowie klimat gry.
Życzę innym graczom odnalezienia takiej gry, która będzie tak pozytwnie wpływała na nastrój podczas grania jak Ewakuacja wpłyneła na mnie
Mielenie zasobami w dwóch kartach „excella” i balansowanie satelitami na granicach przeżycia naszego narodu daje także dobrą gimnastykę dla tych szarych komórek od liczenia nie tylko tym od wspomnień ;)
Grę otrzymałem od wydawcy polskiej wersji czyli @portalgamespl , za co serdecznie dziękuję.

Gestern konnte ich Underwater Cities ausprobieren, wirklich gute Bilder habe ich leider nicht gemacht wie ich gerade merke. Da war ich wohl zu sehr auf dieses geniale Spiel fokussiert.
Worker Placement und Engine Building sind sowieso schon zwei meiner Lieblingsmechanismen, wenn man diese dann mit einfachen Regeln und Aktionen aber hohem taktischem Anspruch kombiniert, kann nur was gutes herauskommen.
Ich kann die nächste Runde kaum erwarten 🤤 Für mich ein 10/10 Kandidat.

🛳 Okay, okay - we play all kinds of games and we especially like to try classic titles (especially since most of them are out of print now). It also feels nice to discover second editions, as you can not only find an improved look & feel of the game, but mechanics can also be slightly adjusted. This is why we were very excited to find out that Shipyard from @deliciousgamesboard was getting a new edition - and finally, here it is. Let's talk a bit about it for this week's #firstimpressionsfriday🎲 .
🪨 This is one heavy box - no wonder, as it's full to the brim! That wasn't a problem until we found out that it's a nightmare to pack everything up. 😂 The tile dispenser is really nice and really helps in setting the mood, but it barely fits inside the box. On the other hand, it's nice to see the "dual-layered" player boards!
⚙️ As for the gameplay, you can tell this is an older design. Not that it's bad or anything - on the contrary. The actions are straight-forward and pretty simple to understand. No convoluted rules, which was good (the rulebook needs some clarifications, but overall is good). The action selection mechanism is great and we are also happy to see the round wheel that inspired the one from Praga Caput Regni. Simple, works great, but not as exciting though (as it lacks the bonuses).
⚓️ Shipyard is really tight - I was imagining that I can build lots and lots of ships during the game, but it's not like that. At all. You will probably end up with just a few of them, but they need to be good as that's where most of the points come from. Also, we were very surprised to see that you only have three options on your turn (out of 7 possible actions) - some of them (or all) might not be that useful for you, which means that some turns will definitely be sub-optimal.
We still have some things to talk about this cool game, so stay tuned for our final thoughts!

🇬🇧 (↓🇵🇱) “Evacuation” from @deliciousgamesboard is a sci-fi euro game for 1-4 players about escaping from a dying planet and colonizing a new one.
There is an interesting mechanic of moving factories and population from one planet to another. The whole game lasts 4 rounds (years) and we have to cleverly manage resources because depending if we take actions and buy things on one planet or the other, we have to pay with resources from that exact planet. And the old one becomes less productive during the game when more and more things are moved to the new planet. We take actions by playing cards. There is no limit on number of actions we can take but you need enough of energy to pay for them. At the end of each round you will send space ships between planets to transport stuff.
Pros:
👍 an interesting topic for a game
👍 clever mechanic with two planets and divided resources
👍 additional modules, advanced actions, two ways to play multiplayer games (points or race variant)
👍 I like how the game looks, especially the board
👍 solo automa is super easy to use
👍 the gameplay is fast (about an hour to play solo)
Cons:
👎 the game is quite „dry” and you can’t really feel the theme while playing
👎 a lot of turn optimization, prone to analysis paralysis
👎 a lot of times I felt more like solving a puzzle than playing a board game 😉
„Evacuation” is not an easy game. You have to be super efficient. A lot of times one single resource can decide if your round will be successful or not. And there are only four rounds in total in the whole game 😅 The topic of this game is very interesting for me and having two planets with resources divided between them is quite unique. I can’t say it’s the best euro game I played this year, but I like it and will play it with joy 🙂
