Yes yes it’s Parked Up guest mix time and this week I’ve got the wonderful Reisner ( @toyx ) supplying a mix of electronic / funky / bass & duke. The transitions between tracks and genres are flawless. Head to the link in my bio to give it a listen 🚔 Hailing from the unapologetic city of Manchester, Reisner is an exciting talent in the world of high-energy electronica and house music. She brings an unparalleled energy to the dance floor, captivating crowds with her seamless blends whilst also boasting a knack for a pick ‘n mix selection of genres outside of the electronic space. For this mix, Reisner delivers an electrifying electronic club set, interweaving funky, bass, rave, duke and jungle elements for a flavour of what a 1am set from her in the basement would be like. Reisner also makes up 1/2 of the exciting fast rising dj duo @shimrise_ . Any upcoming events? “I’m in a DJ duo called SHIMRISE and we’re gonna be playing Repercussion for @whp_mcr this September. Come through!” Who do you think has the most stacked USB? “Ooo gonna have to say @djezofficial . He’s been around for so long that he must have a minimum of like 15 USBs FULL of bangers!”

Suppling a tasty Parked Up mix this week is Cleopatra (@cleo.jasmine ) . This mix is a combination of breaks, bass dubstep & grime (140). Head to the link in my bio to give it a listen 🚔 Cleopatra is largely influenced by @overmono and @neffa_t . She likes to create a journey through musical genres and create an atmosphere, layering sounds etc. Watch out for future upcoming shows. She is looking to perform in London over Summer, so promoters hit her up! Who was the first DJ you saw live? “Probably some jump up DnB dj at Reading when I was 15 haha”

I’m SO excited to finally get this weeks Parked Up mix out for you all to listen from @orlandastephens ❤️‍🔥 it’s a powerful mix of electro/jersey club/techno/hardgroove. Head to the link in my bio to listen 🚔 It’s hard to confine yourself to one genre when you’re based in two of Europe’s dance capitals. Despite playing her first gig at XLR in Manchester little over a year ago, Orlanda has achieved the rare feat of breaking Berlin, enjoying success with @blanq_slate_ at Zur Klappe and @refugewordwide radio. Inspired by the multi-genre madness of Manchester’s @zubz.newman , Berlin legend @heymeg10 and Tokyo’s @nasthug , Orlanda specialises in blending R&B-inspired beats into both techno and bass (depending on whether she’s in Manchester or Berlin this time around). Orlanda cites this mix as an ode to her time in Berlin and its rich musical landscape - expect everything from @djswisha ’s jersey club antics, to @dj_mischkonsum and @nova_cheq techno edits, to her longtime idol @charlixcx . What more could you want? Catch Orlanda next playing @refugeworldwide on 11th June and at Pepsi Boston with @blvsh.berlin on 19th June. What is something that needs improvement in the scene? “Hahaha!… don’t get me started honestly. Firstly - the most important one - more representation for marginalised people, not just as DJs but as promoters! Secondly, phones - it’s so cliché but when I go to a rave or when I perform, I’m going to have a boogie. I’m probably sweaty, I’m probably looking grim, not really a fan of photos in the club anymore. I think raves should be places where people can escape the outside world. It’s refreshing to see that more promoters like @hitandrunuk and @0ff.rec are doing that in Manchester now.”
