We've had an incredible time playtesting with some amazing folks from Brønnøysund during our visit to Åse's family. Mimir's Tour through Norway! 🌎🏔️ We have been driving up north to Åse's parents, to stay with them for a few weeks. The drive takes about 16 hours(!), so we had ample opportunity to see a few sights: moose statue at Elgstua restaurant at Elverum, big silver moose at Stor-Elvdal, cute bear statues at Grong, a large cheese cutter at the dairy in Sømna, and a tiny Torghatten mountain (because we were so far away, we had to point to it in the picture 🤣). Our first stop, however, were Arcon game con in Oslo! 🎲 We dropped off a crate full of prototype equipment, which we have had for safe keeping since last year. Kristian also had to do a short work session while waiting for the car to charge, traveling on a Friday is not the best 🙈 Since arriving, we've played a lot of Unlock! with Åses mom 🕒 Tomorrow, we're visiting the local gaming group in Brønnøysund, and we're really looking forward to playing Mimir's Challenge with them! 🤩 Thank you so much for the invite, Corner Game Group 🥰 #mimirschallenge #roadtrip #norwegianvacation #sightseeing #brønnøysund

We finally got around to playing A Feast for Odin by Uwe Rosenberg and it was awesome! 😄 The puzzly goodness of filling our boards while strategically placing our vikings made for a chill, yet brain-burning experience. 🧩🧠 On the shelf, we've got The Norwegian Expansion waiting for its turn, and we've heard it makes the game even better! 🇳🇴 Can't wait for our next playthrough! 😍 Who else has played A Feast for Odin? Last weekend, we had the pleasure of meeting with our co-designer, @tictacsmile , to discuss the latest changes and our next steps. It was such a productive and enjoyable time. We even took the new prototype out for a spin, and it felt amazing with the new components! 😍 The game is shaping up nicely, but we still need to test it more with 3-5 players to ensure everything runs smoothly. We might also tweak the set bonus and the number of treasures in play to enhance the experience. 🎉 Looking ahead, we're considering adding some extra modules for an even fuller and more varied gameplay! 🛠️ We're also excited to announce that we're aiming to create a digital version of Mimir's Challenge this summer. We recently visited Spilloteket in Oslo, and it was an absolute blast! 🤩 @spilloteketoslo is a board game bar where you can rent a table for the day and dive into any of their 1000+ games. How cool is that? During our visit, we tried out Trails of Tucana by @aportagames for the first time. 🌄🗺️ In the first game, Aricin claimed victory, but Kristian got his sweet revenge in the second round. The atmosphere at Spilloteket was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. If you’re in Oslo, we highly recommend dropping by for a game or two! After our trip, we couldn’t get enough of Trails of Tucana and played it several more times at home. 🏡 Even though Kristian has been on a winning streak, Aricin is still eager to play more. This past weekend, we stayed up until 1 am to get everything just right. Here's a sneak peek at our progress: 1️⃣ Illustrations & Touch-ups: We started with some fantastic free illustrations and gave them a fresh look with our own digital enhancements. 2️⃣ Player Tokens: After tweaking the designs, we fired up our new laser cutter to create some stunning wood components. Have you tried HE.R.O by #eelyrivergames ? 🧑‍⚕️🩺💊 A few weeks ago, we finally got the chance! You play as a doctor on the night shift, manning the emergency room together with other doctors and staff. You need to treat the patients' various illnesses before it's too late, but you also need to sleep, and preferably study some journals in order to improve your skills so you can treat more difficult illnesses. When treating patients, you earn points, but so does all the other doctors in the room! The freeloader bonus is real, folks 🤣 The doctor with the most hero points win the game, as long as they got enough sleep, and didn't cause too much chaos by running in the halls, moving patients around and calling in specialists. We really enjoyed this balancing aspect! The game can also be played in cooperative mode, which were really looking forward to try 😊
