Michael and Alan’s home is a work of art. An exquisite, note-perfect rendering of the Spanish Colonial Revival, 1930’s LA aesthetic. But hidden in their basement is another extraordinary world… The HaleKahiki, their glorious, joyous, equally perfect tiki lounge! I had such a great time in their company and felt like we could have talked for days, they really are both absolute *Dudes*! I really hope our paths cross again next time I’m over. And that really was an EXCELLENT Mai Tai Alan!

We stepped into HulaHula, Torrance Calif and were immediately impressed by the music and welcoming atmosphere. This lovely unpretentious little bar reminds us of one we might find in Hawai’i.
Missing my wonderful father today, who passed away on this day in 2020. Such a lovable and sweet dad. I wish we could talk about family, astronomy, UFOs, poetry, physics, and music today.
